The AutoComp 1000’s sophisticated features result from KVH’s extensive research and development in digital fluxgate compass technology.
Precision Accuracy and Complete Integration
The AutoComp 1000 provides unsurpassed .5 degree accuracy and an automatic compensation system that continuously corrects for magnetic deviation, which is critical to the functionality of a variety of navigational systems. Specifically designed to provide heading input to many other instruments — including autopilot, GPS, radar, chart plotter, and computers — the AutoComp 1000 eliminates the need for multiple heading sensors. Designed as a remote sensor, it can be mounted away from sources of changing magnetic fields. It’s fully compatible with the NMEA 0183 output standard or through one of the many outputs available on KVH’s universal interface card.
