We have made a short presentation illustrating an installation of a LT-1000 NRU and LT-500 AHRS on a Grand Banks 64 Aleutian, replacing an old Sperry Marine Satellite Compass.
The LT-1000 NRU and LT-500 AHRS are connected together on a NMEA 2000 backbone (to provide position and time to the LT-500 AHRS) and connected with NMEA 0183 to the external navigation equipment. The LT-1000 NRU is configured to 4800 baud, while the LT-500 AHRS is configured to 38400 baud.
The LT-1000 NRU and LT-500 AHRS are connected to the following navigation and communication equipment:
1) Sperry Marine auto pilot – NAVIPILOT 4000
2) Sperry Marine ECDIS (chart plotter & radar)
3) SAILOR 6222 VHF
4) Icom MF/HF
More details can be found in the presentation here.
